Irth Server Status Print Email The Irth Servers are down due to a server move that has not gone all to well so far, the web sites are back up, and I hope to have the IRC server back up later this afternoon.
I will post more information on the server status later today, however until the connection issue is resolved the servers can not go back online, I was given a projection of no later than 5PM EST today, but will verify that later as the day goes on.

Revert On Patch Print Email I have reverted the patch to the last version, so the old bugs are there again for now, we will try the patch again in a day or two once we are sure this will not be happening again. Thanks so much everyone for your patience. In the past we have never had this type of an issue with the patching, but some major changes were made to the protocols and the server code that caused some unseen issues that there was no way to test prior to putting it live.
If you modified your IrthLuanch.exe to the new one, then you will need the old one again, you can get that HERE .

New Irth Launcher Print Email Damian to the rescue!
The new irth Launcher can be downloaded at HERE
The launcher must take the place of the old one that is in your Irth Install directory, So Unzip this file and copy over the Launcher in the irth Online Install directory.
Sorry for the troubles with this, and thanks for your patience.
*UPDATE* We are aware of the issue with people being able to log in and are working on it, it is not broken on the client side as we can see from the logs (as of now) but there is an issue on the patcher side, and we are working on correcting it. If you have the patience you can keep trying and it will work eventually, this is just an issue with the amount of people trying to connect at once.
We are working on it to resolve it as soon as possible.

and place this in the irth install, replacing the old IrthLaunch.exe
Hopefully the patching protocol will never again have to change and this sort of thing wont be needed again.

Irth Release F2P Part I Print Email Well, things went fairly smooth for the first free day of play... A few glitches and a few issues... But things seem pretty good and everyone has been very patient and great!

Update Part III - Chasing the turkey around here. Print Email Another Update on the Free To Play!
Well time is coming close for the free to play era of Irth Online, we are working hard to try and get the client ready for download and things are looking pretty good! So hopefully it will not be much longer.
We are working several avenues at once here to try and make things as smooth as possible.
With the expected large number of downloads to happen at once, we are probably going to set up a torrent as well as a limited amount of how many people can download the game at once from the site. Though we should have enough capacity to handle many at a time, we will have to monitor it to make sure things are going smooth.

Irth Going Free Part II Print Email This is an update on Irth Going free and how it is going to work (Some of the basics).
1) The game will be free of subscriptions and the actual game itself. No purchase to download.
2) The game download link will be available shortly (Need to build a new version with the free to play)
3) So long as you are registered and have logged in between the start of free play and Feb 29, 2008 you will not be charged to play the game for atleast 2 years.
4) There will be no Char deletetions or restrictions on these free to play accounts.
